Queer individuals have always and will always exist, yet queer spaces are few and far between. Vital to our community and the culture of our cities, when these spaces are ripped out from under our feet, a sense of loss and rootlessness is felt. Despite this, these spaces are endangered due to new developments, rising rents, and other forces outside of their control.

 

Where Do We Go From Here? is a feature documentary that investigates the obstacles that have led to, and continue to lead to, queer spaces shutting down and the effects this has on our community. How can queer spaces adapt to the inevitable changes in our ever-evolving society? How can we be a part of the solution to the many challenges they face?

 

Through understanding their history, locations, and clientele, the film will look for solutions that may not only prevent current spaces from meeting the fate of their predecessors, but help them thrive and grow, becoming more accessible and safer for the queer community as a whole.
